Business Development Manager

Experience selling clinical trial management software and understanding of the clinical trial business processes is a must. Experience must be in the Phase I clinical trial area.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading and driving the sales efforts of business solutions to Phase I sponsors. You will be directly responsible for the sales of software and CRO services to existing and prospective clients. In this capacity you will offer clients the ability to outsource the management of their application integration through our professional services organization.

We are looking for dynamic sales professionals with experience in selling software and services to pharmaceutical, medical device and CRO companies. Experience working with technology infrastructure is highly desired, direct experience selling integration solutions is a plus.


At eClipse, a Business Development Manager


  • Provides direct support to company marketing efforts by incorporating both client-related and operational support
  • Participates or leads client proposal presentations.
  • Responsible for account and/industry analysis, complex problem resolution, and communications between client, company management.
  • Designs, develops and delivers reports to senior leaders and executive level clients.
  • Identifies, evaluates, recruits and manages resources to meet proposal budgets and cost projections.
  • Responsible for overall service design, delivery models, service level agreements, and cost structure.
  • Participate in the company’s lead generation process.
  • Study customer requirements; identify trends and present future opportunities to company management.
  • Extensive coordination with finance to ensure cost proposals, cost models, rate structures and profit margins are correct, current and in compliance with company standards.
  • Responsible for performance management, disciplinary, recruitment and all aspects of staff management for department.
  • May perform other duties as required.


Qualifications:


  • Should have relevant, established contacts in the Phase I clinical trial industry
  • Experience in evaluating and analyzing new market opportunities
  • Technical aptitude sufficient to engage with sales targets at the initial stages of discussions and represent the product/opportunity well
  • Experience in working in a high-energy, sales-driven environment
  • Outstanding, clear, and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective large- and small-group presentation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to develop relationships with both internal and external teams and across numerous functional boundaries
  • Self-motivated, independent team member with strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task
  • Minimum 4 year Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
